Arjun Atwal returns to action this week at the USD 6.6 million 3M Open.

Anirban Lahiri, who has playing rights and would have played some events by now during the last few weeks, is stuck in India because of COVID-19-forced flight restrictions.

Nice to see 47 year old Arjun Atwal make the cut in two consecutive PGA Tour events this month.

Finishes with a brilliant 66 in the last round to finish T53
Wins $15,686 for his efforts and now plays in this week’s event too.
Good luck Arjun. Hope he can avoid the 2 bad rounds from his tournament play.

Why is Anirban not able to fly to US to resume his play on the Tour??
I am sure he can get a seat on the Air India Vande Bharat flight...
Any idea?

As per TOI, Anirban will be flying early August and will serve 14-day quarantine period, he will not be able to qualify for the playoffs. But is looking at getting back on the Tour in September (10-13)

Arjun had a good 5-under in the final round, which enabled him to finish T53 (7-under par) in the 3M Open. Consistency is still a problem, but Arjun has had a good month.

Thanks.
Looks like he will fly only if international flights start. So we have to see whether he tries to get on Air India Vande Bharat flight.
Anyways, Anirban would not have qualified for FedEx playoffs with the poor season he had.
So September is the earliest he can start playing.

Anirban has reached USA and should make the field for next week’s Wyndham Championship.
Arjun Atwal is also in the field as a previous champion. He won in 2010.
Hope we have another winner next week.
