Jeev has been well short-charged by the Indian media over the years.

Started late with an unorthodox technique and not having the distance in an era of perfect swings and players able to drive 300+ on demand, and his run between 2006 and 2008 was the best by an Indian in a global sport in the last couple of decades. Never really got the recognition he deserved.

But that ain't so sport! Maybe a "game" at best. Not a sport. Doesn't count :)
There it goes again. But if the pay check is 1.6 m, will i be bothered whether it's a game or sports.

Of course, Anirban had a chance in late 2016 to become the first Indian to win $1M+ in a single tournament in prize money at the CIMB classic where he was leading by 4 going into the final round and "choked" badly in the front 9 to finish T3 which still earned him $406K.

Some of Anirban's top prize money finishes above $300K include
- PGA championships T5 2015 $367K
- CJ T5 2017 $303K
Anirban also had a couple of big money finishes on the European tour in 2015, winning the Maybank Malaysia event for around $500K and the Hero Indian Open for around $250K. So, Anirban has 6 prize money winnings above 250K while Jeev also had 6 (although I wonder if Jeev had some more in the Japan Tour where the prize money is decent). Given that Anirban is significantly earlier in his career and has been in the more competitive PGA tour for the last 2 years, he will likely have a stronger overall career than Jeev who never really made his mark on the PGA tour.

Anirban will leave everybody else far behind in terms of total prize money earned. He plays on the PGA tour and he has been competitive.

Good to see Shubhankar play the European tour now that he can enter most events after his title win in SA. Making the cut is a good start and hopefully he can get a top 30 finish with a strong final round.

Shubhankar Sharma scored a even par final round and has finished the HSBC Abu Dhabi Championship T48.

This is a decent performance considering that this event had one of the strongest playing field.

Also, the OWGR had awarded 52 ranking points to the winner of this event which is higher than this week's PGA Tour event of CareerBuilder Challenge where the winner would be getting 40 points.

Next week, he will playing at the Dubai Desert Classic. He will be joined by SSP Chawrasia and Rayhan Thomas.
