Last year 36k was enough to get the card (25th place) and hence Anirban only needs 2-3k more in next 2 weeks....to guarantee his card. So making the cut in one more event would seal it.
Anirban earned $34,750.00 from this tournament. If 36K was enough to earn PGA card last year, then he is very close to seal his card.

However, he would obviously like to finish much higher in top 25 in order to get higher priority.

Yes, expecting Anirban to finish in top 5 after the tour finals rather than just make the top 25....

Yes, it will be great if Anirban can get at least another top-10 finish in the second tournament to confirm his PGA tour card.

I think the 36K earnings for enough last year but may not be this year as we only have 1 or 2 years of data on the money required to finish in the "Finals" top-25 since this path to PGA tour qualification was introduced. For example, if the top results in the 4 tournaments are more evenly distributed or differently distributed (i.e., the regular Web.com tour qualifiers don't do as well in the Finals as compared to last year), then the money required may be more. FWIW, in the first tournament, only 6 of the top-25 were regular Web.com tour qualifiers.

Yes, if he finishes in the Top-20 in the next two weeks, he should be fine. Top-10 this week would seal it...

But if he wants a Top-10 or higher priority order, he needs to win at least one of the weeks..... :goodluck:

Anirban Lahiri had a modest start with score of even par at the first round of the Small Business Connection Championship at River Run, the second of four Web.com Tour Finals.

With 3 birdies and 3 bogeys he is currently tied for 71 position.

Yesterday, Anirban Lahiri made the cut by a steady round of two-under 70 and was tied for 44th.

Today Anirban had a fanastic start at the front nine with 5 birdies he is currently tied for 12th position. :goodluck: for back nine.

Anirban finished T16 after rounds of 67 and 71 in the last two rounds. The leaderboard shows a few players having earned the top-25 PGA card but there is no such entry next to Anirban.

Those are the ones who earned it with regular season play in the web.com tour.

The top 25 in the web.com tour finals also earn a tour card (outside of those who earned it in regular season). (50 cards in all, 25 regular season 25 tour finals).

Anirban will earn a card for sure but he needs to win or come very close next week if he wants a high priority rank especially given that he is not playing the 4th and last week of the web.com tour finals.

Anirban struggled with the par 5s all weekend, should have been a top 5 finish otherwise.
