Looks like SSPC will get his card back for 2016 with an impressive show this week.prajgolf wrote:Jeev has finished tied 54th position.

He is in top 20 and should try and finish in top 25-30 to be 100%.....
He may get another chance to play the HSBC Champions - being 4th of Asian Order of merit.
Jeev and Shiv will get limited starts as they will finish in the category just outside 110...
Both can still play the qualifying and get their cards back

Re: 2015 European Tour
Anirban didn't have a great Rd 1 to start off with a 1-over (with 4 bogeys and 3 birdies) to be T46...
But came back strongly on the second day for a 5-under card (despite a double bogey early on in the day) with 7 birdies to claw back up to T23...
His -5 in Rd 2 was in the Top-10 for the day.......

Re: 2015 European Tour
Anirban only had a par 3rd round, dropping him by 12 places to T35
Now playing the final round where he is 3 under for the day after 15 holes. He is back to T23 at this moment

Re: 2015 European Tour
Anirban finished T34, with a 71 on the final day to finish 5-under par for the tournament. So a pretty mediocre tournament for him, apart from an excellent second round.

Re: 2015 European Tour
Anirban Lahiri has finished 20th in the Race to Dubai Rankings with the prize money of €1,558,111.
SSP is placed at 113th position, his HSBC Champions prize money has not been counted for the Race to Dubai Rankings and hence he will have a partial playing card for the next season.
Shiv Kapur & Jeev Milkha Singh have finished 126th and 133rd respectively and since both of them have skipped the European Tour Q School, both will have limited starts for the next season.

Re: 2015 European Tour
While I expected him to be good, had no idea that he would be on track to be India's best golfer although he has more to do to get there....arjun2761 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 23, 2015 12:51 am Fantastic month for Anirban Lahiri who seems to have a really fluid and natural swing. Of course, golf is a mental sport (perhaps more so than most other sports) and he seems to play his best in the final round which augurs well for the future. Here's hoping for more magic in the rest of the year!
18 year old Shubhankar Sharma also finished in the top-20 and is one to watch out for in the future....

Re: 2015 European Tour
I was a bit confused by arjun posting in the 2015 thread but I am guessing this in reference to Shubhankar's win.

Re: 2015 European Tour
Sorry, should have stated the obvious. The quoted text is from 2015 in this thread when an 18 year Shubhankar was already showing prodigious talent for an Indian golfer (finishing in the T-20 of an European tour event). However, his meteoric rise in the last 2 months is still quite a surprise. Hopefully, he'll continue on that path to become India's best ever golfer!
