2013 European Tour - Jeev and SSPC

Post by Prem »

The 2013 tour has started with Jeev finishing T16 last week in South Africa.
This week they are playing at Abu Dhabi and Jeev was well placed after first round T11.
However, a bad round of 7 over today ended his tournament early.
SSPC just made the cut at +2. Bhullar missed the CUT by one shot and so did Tiger!!!

Didn't know where else to post this, but this is a crazy shot in a real PGA tournament by none other than Sergio Garcia. Not sure why he wouldn't just take a drop and one shot penalty.

Jeev skipped attended the premiere of the movie about his father, in order to defend his title at the Scottish Open. He had an excellent first round of 67 (with SSP Chowrasia doing a 70), but then had an awful second round of 74, missing the cut by one stroke. SSP scored a 76 in the second round :-(

Our golfers are having a poor year.

I meant "skipped attending.." in the first sentence of the previous post...

Anyway, one Indian did manage to make the cut at The (British) Open championships -- Shiv Kapur. Unfortunately, his game has got worse with every round. He started with a 68 that put him close to the top of the leader board, but then shot 77 in round 2 (to barely make the cut) and a disastrous 83 in round 3. He is dead last on the leader board now!
