Jeev remained leader by 3 strokes after end of the first round with 8 under at Irish open ... Christian Nilsson, Marcel Siem and Michael Campbell r tied for the second with 5 under.

Jeev could not repeat the magic of his best ever round of golf. It invariably happens in golf that a great round is followed by an ordinary or poor round. But to the credit of Jeev, he did not fall apart and actually finished the round at 1 under. However, that means he lost the top spot and shares the second spot Soren Hansen. Overall, still a great performance over two days. He is now T2 with -9.

I hope that he will jump ahead once again with another good round tomorrow and get back in the lead. Wishing Jeev all the luck! Go Jeev!

Shiv Kapur made the cut comfortably at T45 with -2 for the tournament. While SSP, as expected, missed the cut.
