Arjun had three good rounds, and was in contention for a top-10 finish at the Colonial at the beginning of the final day (at 6-under, with rounds of 69, 67 and 68). But his last round of 2-over 72 undid him, and he finished T16. On to next week!

Arjun Atwal in contention at HP Byron Nelson Championship.

After 3rd round, Arjun is T3(-3), 2 strokes behind the leader Ryan Palmer (-5) and a stroke behind 2nd placed Garcia. He had the best round today in a windy day with a 3 under round. Hopefully, he'll keep the momentum tomorrow and fire another best round of the day to get past everyone and finish on top. :goodluck:

1 Ryan Palmer -5 F 3 65 67 73 205
2 Sergio Garcia -4 F 4 66 66 74 206
T3 Arjun Atwal -3 F -3 68 72 67 207
T3 Ryuji Imada -3 F E 69 68 70 207

I think luck played a big part for Arjun. He was one of the early players to tee off which allowed him to get a decent score whereas the late tee offers had to play in the tough conditions. I just hope that Arjun gets a top 5 finish. He need to improve to get into top 75..

I did not watch or follow, but I don't think Arjun was lucky. It has been very windy in Texas for a while whether in the morning or afternoon. Once again it is very windy today. Let's see how they do.

Arjun is paired up with Imada and they just finished the first hole at par.

Seond hole - par 3
Arjun tee shot was in the bunker. He hit a good second shot to come with in 5 ft.

Garcia missed his 4ft par putt and made a bogey on the opening hole. So now Arjun, Garcia and Imada are in a 3-way tie for the 2nd spot.

What's happening? Both Arjun and Imada also missed a putt less than 5ft :( So Arjun and Imada are back on T3

Third hole - Par 4.
Arjun once again finds a bunker after his tee shot. He is playing bunker to bunker aas his second shot also landed in a green side bunker. 3rd shot left him with a 12 ft putt and Arjun drops another shot :( So does Imada.
[Garcia also makes another bogey. Leader Ryan also drops a shot. Joe Ogilvy gets ahead with a birdie and he is now 2nd]

Arjun is now T5 at -1. He needs some birdies soon.

1 Ryan Palmer 1 3 -4
T2 Joe Ogilvie -1 5 -3
T3 Sergio Garcia +2 3 -2
T3 Jason Day -4 10 -2
T5 Arjun Atwal +2 3 -1
T5 Ryuji Imada +2 3 -1

Fourth hole - Par 4
Arjun missed the birdie by 7 inches on his 20ft putt :( Imada makes a birdie. So Arjun is now out of top 5 :( - He is T6

[They now show Imada made a par on hole 3 and not a bogey]

There are 4 players at T6(-1)
5th hole - Par 3
Excellent Tee shot and both Arjun and Imada make birdies.

6th hole - par 4
Good par by Arjun after hitting the tee shot slightly right in the rough.

Ryan dropped a shot and now Oglivie and Imada are the joint leaders

T1 Ryuji Imada -1 6 -4
T1 Joe Ogilvie -2 7 -4
3 Ryan Palmer 2 6 -3
T4 Arjun Atwal +1 6 -2
T4 Keegan Bradley
T4 John Rollins

7th hole - Par 5
Chance to make a birdie and close gap.
Meanwhile, Rollins chipped in from the bunker to make a birdie and move to T3, pushing Arjun to T5. Kuchar joins Arjun at T5. It is crowded at the top now. Who will come out of the crowd soon?

Arjun's tee shot goes into left rough :(
But he recovers and makes a birdie

Arjun is par for the day and T3 (same as he started). But he is now just 1 behind the leaders. C'mon Arjun!

Bradely also joins Arjun for a 4-way tie for 3rd place. As I said, quite crowded at the top.

T1 Ryuji Imada -1 7 -4
T1 Joe Ogilvie -2 7 -4
T3 Ryan Palmer 2 6 -3
T3 Arjun Atwal E 7 -3
T3 Keegan Bradley -2 10 -3
T3 John Rollins -2 9 -3

Ryan joins the leaders once again with a birdie on 7th. While Rollins drops out with a bogey.

T1 Ryuji Imada -1 7 -4
T1 Joe Ogilvie -2 7 -4
T1 Ryan Palmer 1 7 -4
T4 Arjun Atwal E 7 -3
T4 Keegan Bradley -2 10 -3
T6 John Rollins -1 9 -2
T6 Matt Kuchar E 8 -2

Sergio Garcia has gone crazy. He was tied 2nd and now he has 5 bogeys in the first 7 holes itself. Good for us.
