Horrible third rounds of 74 each have dropped Chowrasia to T41 and Shiv Kapur to T52. :damn:

Five Indians will be playing this week in BALLENTINES CHAMPIONSHIP 2010. Few years back, Jeev was tied with another European player at the end of the fourth round. They both played multiple playoff rounds and pulled out one after another incredible shots to remain in contention. Ultimately, Jeev was little unlucky not to win the championship. But this time Jeev is not playing. The Indians who are in entry list are:

C. MUNIYAPPA
Jyoti RANDHAWA
S.S.P. CHOWRASIA
Anirban LAHIRI
Gaganjeet BHULLAR

Three other Indians are on reserve list.
4 Digvijay SINGH
5 Himmat RAI
10 Rahil GANGJEE

Ballantine's Championship

Post by ajay »

Ballantine's Championship has been reduced to 54 holes. First round is still not over as few players are in the field. Bhullar is leading the Indian contingent wit a round of 4 under that put him in top 10. Three of the six Indians, Bhullar, Shiv and Jyoti are in a nice position to make the cut. Muniyappa will need to do better in 2nd round, Lahiri and Himmat Rai are practically out.

8 Gaganjeet BHULLAR IND 68 -4
31 Shiv KAPUR IND 70 -2
69 Jyoti RANDHAWA IND 72 E
84 C. MUNIYAPPA IND 73 1
132 Anirban LAHIRI IND 77 5
154 Himmat RAI IND 82 10

Only Bhullar & Shiv made the cut. But after a poor 3rd rd of 2 over 74 Kapur is almost out of contention for a top 10 finish, lying currentrly at tied 43rd. Gaganjeet on course to finish among the lasts. Right now Indian golf is not in good shape. Lets see how long our golfers can hold on to their respective tour cards.

43 Shiv - 70 73 74 1
61 Bhullar - 68 75 78 5
