Re: Arjun Atwal thread
Arjun has a European Tour Card for 2010 as he had won in Malaysia.
Instead of not playing at all, Arjun should have played few events by now to get going on the Tour.
He is slated to play in the Dubai event starting on 4th Feb.
Hope to see him play more on this tour to get his confidence back and than move to NW Tour later in the year.

Re: Arjun Atwal thread
Just saw that Atwal is playing the PGA tour event at Torrey Pines. He shot a 73 and is currently at 109th place on the leaderboard.

Despite a better (2-under par 70) second round, Arjun missed the cut by one stroke at Torrey Pines

Re: Arjun Atwal thread
Arjun will another chance next week at the AT&T Pebble Beach event.
His trip to Dubai was futile as he finished 10 over - 8 shots away from making the cut
Hope it does not effect him and he does well at his 2nd PGA event....

Re: Arjun Atwal thread
Arjun had a bad Tavistok Cup and failed to collect any points for his team.
He played few practice rounds with Tiger, and hope that helps him a bit.

Re: Arjun Atwal thread
Arjun's comeback is gradually getting back on track. This week he finished T10 in a Nationwide Tour event in Georgia, after finishing T43 in last week's PGA tour event. Go Arjun!

Way to go Arjun!!! Happy to see at least one Indian this year in some major. Hopefully, Arjun will keep this form throughout this year.
This week he is in the main draw of PGA tour St. Jude Classic. Goodluck Arjun! You need a good finish. Go for it!

Re: Arjun Atwal thread
I think he finished in top 7 (not sure) in one of the qualifying tournaments. The news is on Asian tour website.

Thanks yaq for the info. Here is an extract from the report:
Full articleasiantour.com wrote:Meanhwile India’s Arjun Atwal will also be making an appearance in the US Open after claiming one of the seven tickets at the Woodmont Country Club in the United States.
The 2003 Asian number one posted a total of 138 (68,70) to secure a spot among the elite field.
Atwal is riding a rich vein of form where he finished in tied 17th at the Valero Texas Open followed by an impressive seventh place finish at the HP Byron Nelson Championship.

Excellent news about the US Open. Arjun is truly back, and the next two weeks should provide a great opportunity for him to capitalize on his currently "rich vein of form".

Yes, hyperbole that could have come straight from PKB.PKBasu wrote:Excellent news about the US Open. Arjun is truly back, and the next two weeks should provide a great opportunity for him to capitalize on his currently "rich vein of form".
