Jeev Milkha Singh PB WR#28 21March09

Post by BSharma »

Jeev has started playing in the Nationwide Tour in USA.  I believe he is playing in his second Nationwide golf tournament this year.  He tied for 40th position in the Jacob's Creek Open in the first tournament and is currently playing in the Arkansas Classic.  After the end of the second day he is tied for 38th place at minus 2 (rounds of 71 and 71).  The good news is that Jeev made the cut but the bad news is that the leader is at minus 14 - a long way for Jeev to catch up unless the leaders falter.  Anyway, GO JEEV!!

Jeev Milkha Singh - US Open

Post by BSharma »

Jeev Milka Singh has played in three Nationwide Tour so far and has made the cut in two events. He played in his first Nationwide Tour tournament on March 2, 2003, finished tied for 40th place and won $2,619.59. He failed to make the cut at the Clearwater Classic on March 9, 2003. At the First Tee Arkansas Classic on April 20, 2003 he finished tied for 44th place and won $1,852.50. Not a very impressive start but he probably is getting used to the American courses, which are quite different from those in Europe and Asia. Any way more power to Jeev and hope he does better.

The Nationwide Tour has replaced the Buy.com Tour and is played mostly in USA but with a few tournaments in Canada.

Jeev Milkha Singh sighting

Post by BSharma »

At the end of the third day of NE Pennsylvania Classic today Jeev was at minus 8 and tied for tenth place. The leader is at minus 14 but the matches were suspended due to weather. The players have not yet finished their third round and play will resume on Sunday. It is good to see Jeev back in the Nationwide tour.

On June 15th, 2003 if your name was Singh then you did not play well in a golf tournament. Both Jeev Milkha Singh and Vijay Singh faltered on the last day of the Nationwide Tour tournament and the US Open respectively. Jeev shot a 75 on the last day to finish tied for 38th spot after starting the day at the 12th position.

Jeev Milkha Singh - US Open

Jeev shot a one above par score to finish even for the two day of play. It looks like he will miss the cut as it is projected at minus 2.

Today he had birdies on hole number 3, 7, 11, 15 and 17 but disaster struck on par 5 hole number 14 where he shot a 7 to go along with bogeys on hole number 4, 8, 10, and 16.

Hope he has better luck next time.

This year he has played in 5 events of the Nationwide Tour, has made 3 cuts, withdrew from one after the first day, and was cut in one event. He has made $6767 so far.

On the second day Jeev fell from 12th to 42nd place but he made the cut. He had a triple bogey on the 7th hole today and shot a 72 (one over par). I hope he has better days on Saturday and Sunday.
