Re: Shiv Kapur thread ...
From a fantastic start on day one to a poor round day three, Shiv is now placed last among the players. He shot a +12 today, including a triple bogey on 6th hole, which he had birdied on day one.
Currently at +15 and will be in the first group tomorrow.

Re: Shiv Kapur thread ...
Shiv posts a pretty solid par final round but finishes poorly because of one disastrous round. However, he played the first and last rounds at 3 under par which should signal to him that he can play with the best going forward.

Re: Shiv Kapur thread ...
Shiv Kapur won the Dubai Festival City Challenge Tour Grand Final on the European Challenge Tour to get his European Tour Card for 2014.
Shiv needed to finish in the top 5 to finish in the top 15 of the Money List and he did it in style by winning it by a handsome 4 shot margin.
This event was the Final event on the challenge Tour for the top 45 players and Shiv did very well to overcome a very strong field.
It also lifts him to 142 in world rankings - currently the highest Indian followed by Anirban @ 154 and Bhullar @ 199.
Hope Shiv keeps this momentum going for the rest of the year and break into the Top 100....
So next year, we will have 3 players on the European Tour - Shiv, Jeev and Bhullar with SSPC having a conditional card giving him few starts.

Re: Shiv Kapur thread ...
Congratulations Shiv Kapur for his 2nd victory of the year!!!
What a year for Shiv Kapur. He started the year with a bang as he won his first tournament of the year -The Gujarat Kensville Challenge which was also the first tournament of the European Challenge. And now he finished the European Challenger tour with a bang as he won the final event - Dubai Festival City Challenge Tour Grand Final. In all he played 9 challenger events - the least number of events among the top 15 players who received their ticket for the 2014 European tour. He narrowly missed winning his previous Challenger event too when he finished T2 last month.
This year he played in three tours, namely: Challenger (9 events), European (12), Asian tour (12 with few more to go) , with 3 events common between Asian and European tour. He was descent in Asian tour as he is currently 8th in the moneylist. However, he did not do well in European tour. He did play The Open Championship where he was in top five on the first day and made the cut, but in the end finished last.
This week he'll be playing Hero Indian Open. Hopefully, he can continue this good form and add another title to his name.
