Final Round
As luck would have it, all the top-4 boards featured Indians with Sethu having a shot at winning the title if Sethu and Ganguly win against the joint leaders...
Last time Sethu played the top board in this tournament, he lost to the other co-leader Le in the 6th round while having white pieces... Today, Sethu has black pieces against the other co-leader Wei...
Adhiban drew, Vidit lost badly....
BUT both Ganguly and Sethu won their games helping Sethu to the top and Ganguly to joint 2nd alongside the overnight leaders...
Sethu will also book a ticket to next year's Chess world cup with this win... Ganguly might have a chance as well...
This has been a very good performance by Sethu, except for that loss to Le in the 6th round, netting him 13.6 ELO and bumping him to 2666.6 and to #77
Ganguly also gains 7.9 ELO and jumps to 2661.9..
