In the SF match today, Harika with black pieces wasn't in the best of positions, but drew it in the end....
She will come back tomorrow with the white pieces......

In Susan Polgar's blogspot, someone sent a comment.
Though it might be funny to some, it is annoying to us Indians.
Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall,
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall.
All the King's horses,
and all the King's men,
Couldn't stop Humpty from choking again.

Yeah, really painful to think of what could have been considering the potential Humpy had a few years back..... She's still India's best, could have been the World best..... Ohh well, let's hope she can still turn the tables around in a couple of years....., but right now Hou is leagues ahead........

In the 2nd game of the SF, Harika with white pieces is a pawn up in a Rook end game and has a realistic chance of romping home today...
Draw it is as Maria played without any errors......
Tie-breaks tomorrow......

Trouble for Harika. She lost the 1st rapid game with white after a rook blunder to trail 1-2. She must win with black in 2nd game to stay in the match.

Harika is in a good position to win the 2nd rapid... Nice position on the board and 3 mins ahead on the clock after 36 moves.......
Maria blundered on Move 37, but Harika couldn't really capitalize... But she still has a chance to win this......
And Harika wins the 2nd rapid game to force more fast-paced games.......

In the first Blitz game, Harika blundered away a win where she was two pawns up with Queens on the board...., theoretical draw as of now unless Maria blunders back.......
Draw agreed...
Now Harika needs to win with Black...
Or atleast make a draw and play the Armageddon (Sudden Death) game.....

But before that Mariya made blunders to give Harika 2 pawns advantage. It was always a draw.prashanthm wrote:In the first Blitz game, Harika blundered away a win where she was two pawns up with Queens on the board...., theoretical draw as of now unless Maria blunders back.......
