In the shorter formats (rapid especially, and blitz) Anand was always particularly good. It is quite amazing that he is still able to win world titles in these formats at 48.

At the Norway chess tournament, Anand finished joint 2nd. He only lost to Fabio Caruana who won the tournament. Even Magnus Carlsen finished behind him. So a bit of a recovery for the maestro.

Scumbag "defeats" Anand and then admits to cheating. Nikhil Kamath banned from chess.com
