Harikrishna beat Sandipan in the 7th round. Negi also wins. So both Harikrishna and Negi are at the top with 6 pts. and now they play against each other in the 8th round.
Unfortunately, dropping a full point means Sandipan is joined by 34 more players at 5pts.

Pts, Players
6 (2 players) NEGI Parimarjan(2639), HARIKRISHNA P. (2678)
5.5(7 players) AMIN Bassem (2608), GHARAMIAN Tigran(2671), LYSYJ Igor(2656), BANUSZ Tamas(2583), SANIKIDZE Tornike(2549), PETROSIAN Tigran L. (2643), SOKOLOV Andrei(2577)

Hari & Negi were the joint winner with 3 others at the Cappelle La Grande tournament and Hari was declared Champion based on a better tie-break.

WIth this win, Hari has gained 12 ELO and is curently at 2695.8 (including the Bundesliga results), agonisingly close to the 2700 mark...

Hari might be playing in the Bundesliga this weekend.....

Not so good outing for Hari at the Turkish Super League as he lost two (Grachev & Mamedyarov) and won one (Mamedov), drew 7 games and lost 13 ELO to drop out of the Top-30...
He is at #37 now with 2712....

:goodluck: for the European Cup in Sep, where he'll be playing for last year's Champion Novy Bor alongside Sasi...

Hari did well and had his team CA Solvay at the top of the leader board after 5 rounds, but couldn't sustain it in the last two rounds and his team finished 4th....

Hari had wins against two 2600+ players, draws against Ivanchuk and Bacrot, but the lost the last round match against Giri...
Overall, Hari gained 5.2 Elo with a +2 score out of this tournament and controlled his loss of 13 Elo from last month's Turkish Super League....
He's at 2717 in the live ratings now at #31.....

He'll play the European Club Cup for last year's champion Novy Bor alongside Sasi next week... :goodluck:

Hari put up an impressive performance for Novy Bor and helped them get a Silver medal...
The only team they lost to did win the tournament...
He even has a chance to win the Silver medal on the 3rd Board...

Hari had 5 wins in 7 rounds, with no losses...., his only blemish coming in the 2nd round with a draw against a 2400 player although it didn't cost the team....
He gains 9.8 ELO from this performance... and combined with the 5.2 ELO from the Spanish League with a combined gain of 15 ELO, which more than covered up for his loss of 13 ELO from the Turkish Super League last month...

He's now at a career high of 2727 ELO in the live ratings at #24....

Update: Hari actually ended up winning the Gold on Board 3 with a 2852 performance rating after his last round win
The leader from previous round, Adams wasn't fielded to play the last round....

Sasi won the Silver on Board 5 with wins in the last two rounds...

Hari is currently playing in the "10th Edmonton International" closed round robin tournament and is the joint top seed.... Ganguly is also in the field...

http://edmonton-international.com/Participants.html

After 4 rounds, he is leading with 4/4, albeit playing against the weaker players except for his Rd1 win against Shakland..
Ivanchuk and Ganguly are 2.5/4
HIs performance so far gets him to 2740.1 in the live rating list at #17, which are both an all time high for him......

After playing another weaker player in Rd 5, Hari will get the tougher part of the schedule where he'll play Ivanchuk, Ganguly and Wang Hao in 3 of the last 4 rounds... If he can maintain his current form, he can surely hit 2750 by the end of the week..... :goodluck:

Hari is continuing his upsurge and is pegging away to the top of the ratings list......

He's been part of lot of chess leagues such as Hungarian League, Czech League and Bundesliga and has gathered around 13 ELO over the last 2 weeks and is now at a career high of 2755.7 and jumped up from #19 to #14...

He is slated to play at the prestigious Qatar Open at the end of this month... Hopefully he'll continue his good form and continue his reputation of solid play and crack Top-10, for which he'll need around 20 more ELO, which will be really tough to gain at the top.... :goodluck:
