Humpy finished 2nd in the Fide Women's Grand Prix at Munich with a score of 7/11. She could have won this tournament. In the penultimate round she had the eventual winner Alexandra Kosteniuk on the mat but her opponent managed to escape with a draw and finally win the tournament with a half point lead. The good news is that Humpy is back in form. She was undefeated and had a +3 record. The next Grand Prix would be in India and one would expect her to do well and strengthen her chances in the current World Championship cycle. Just for the records Harika finished fourth with a score of 6.
