Congratulations boys! Historic first GOLD medal for India at the 2019 UCI Junior Track Cycling World Championships—this was India’s first gold at a world cycling event, senior or junior ... Esow also won the 2nd medal when he won a Bronze in his favorite keirin event, in 2018, he won a silver in the keirin in Switzerland.

Esow Alben won his 3rd medal of this World Championships ... He reached in the final of the Men Sprint event but lost after losing 2 races against Greece's Konstantinos Livanos ... A still creditable show from Esow on this big stage ... So first-time India win three medals in the Junior Track Cycling World Championships; gold, silver, and bronze each.

Law enforcement officials from the Finistère area in western France have opened an investigation into the cause of "unintentional injuries....by manifestly deliberate violation of an obligation of safety or prudence" according to a statement on Facebook.

In other words, she will be arrested for being stupid. Will be well-deserved. She should stay in jail for at least a day and pay a big fine for being stupid. They are searching for her.

What did the sign say and why was she pushing it out? Answering my own question: Allez opi omi For this? Now, if it said, stop Uighur massacre, etc. I would have reduced the fine.

It may be fascinating to take on the case of the lady (since I like adversarial arguments, i.e., arguing the other side to draw out a more complete defense to see what people have to say). Yes, she is stupid, I would say. But, that is who she is. She did not mean to cause the crash. The actual fault is with the organizers. Such a crash would have happened for one thing or another. For example, a water bottle or a kid's football may have just accidentally fallen and caused this pileup. Or a stray dog that ran in. What needs to be done is to keep a small buffer, say 5 feet or so between the spectators and the cyclists. And there should be signs put up or a line to implement that. Then, if someone violates that on purpose, the rest should have told him or her to get back, and if he or she did so even then, then put her in jail. In this case, I would put the organizers in jail for being stupid despite having much larger resources and not taking simple, common sense precautions. Individually being stupid is not that much of a crime as being organizationally stupid despite being rich and having access.

The woman could face up to two years in prison and a fine of $35,000 according to the Brest prosecutor's office.

Ouch... That jail time and fine look excessive, especially considering the fact that the organizers also have a lot of responsibility. as Prasen was arguing.
