Oh, when I was young and more angry, I used to do this more often (on this board) :-)

Yes, overall it was good performance and our boxing does seem to be back on track. This is an article on the performance in this world championship -

The new foreign coach - Argentinian Santiago Rivera seems to have started well.

I hope he brings more gaurav with his bahaduri in the future, preferably changing the color of the medal to be something better. But, a good performance to start with.

A report on the impact of the new coach
"The video analyst not just records our opponents' bouts but also cuts short videos of our mistakes. These videos are sent to us over WhatsApp and the boxer can see for himself where he is going wrong. Having them on WhatsApp also makes it more convenient for us to revisit the videos," said former Commonwealth Games gold-medallist Manoj Kumar.

"Instead of watching it once in a class, we have it on our phones as constant reminder. He is innovative when it comes to explaining things."
"The idea behind this is to ensure that the boxer never forgets what he is doing wrong. Now I can explain things in a classroom full of 40 boys but that's not going to have the desired impact. This way, it stays with him and is more personalised," explained Nieva.

"For instance, I realised that one of my boys was making it a habit to unwittingly move to the corners, which was giving opponents easy shots. We cut a video of that and explained to him how this tendency was hurting him and it became a lot more easier for him to grasp. He could better understand his mistake," said the Argentine-origin Swede.

SAI has appointed experienced Italian Raffaele Bergamasco as a coach for women youth boxers ... In the past, Bergamasco was coaching the women's Italian team from 2001 to 2007, then he coached men - youth and seniors - from 2008 to 2016 for Italy.

Big hearts, sharp minds bowl over India's Italian boxing coach
