Next action in Men's volleyball is the AFC championships at Chiba and Funabashi, Japan, September 12-19

India made it as automatic qualifiers in the field of 16, as we had finished 8th in the previous edition in 2019 in Iran (where we lost in a 5-setter to Pakistan in the final match to place 8th - but that was a better finish than I expected as we were not playing for 2-3 years anywhere due to our volleyball federation's being not recognized, because of that long political fight). I thought we might not even make the QF in 2019.

India is in pool A with Japan, Qatar and Bahrain. Not an easy pool, but not the toughest either. Will need to beat QAT and BAH.

Our u19 tam started with a win against Nigerian u19 team.

Death. Taxes and Iran in Volleyball... so end result is always known.... btw we may have to add UZB in Boxing very soon... watching our juniors struggle so badly against them ...

Just for the record, it was 22-25, 15-25, 22-25 against Iran. I don't even remember us taking sets off those guys at any level of volleyball.

India lost to brazil in round of 16 25–19,25–17,25–23
they will play cuba in 9 to 16 classification

India won the classification match with cuba
now plays Egypt for 9 to 12th

That is a pretty good win. Finishing top-12 is not bad at all.

Yes, really good win against Cuba and in chance of finishing in the top-10.

God to see that we have some 19-and-under players who are of a World-top-12 quality. Hopefully the senior team will also climb back to the top-40 where they used to be.

And we are playing for the 9th position against Czech Republic ... Hard fought win by our boys against Egypt after losing the first 2 sets.
