18-yrs old Praveen Kumar wins Silver medal in the Men's T64/T44 High Jump event ... He created new Asian record with jump of 2.07 mtrs.

Avani Lekhara creates history, after winning the bronze medal she become first Indian woman to win 2 medals in one Paralympics ... She won Bronze in the Women's 50m Rifle 3 Positions SH1 event with 445.9 pts ... In the qualification, her score was 1176 pts, she bettered previous world record of 1175 pts.

Harvinder Singh wins Bronze medal in #ParaArchery with a 10 in a shoot off against a Korean archer Kim Min Su in the Men's Individual Recurve, 6-5 ... With that, he become first ever Indian to win an archery medal - Olympics or Paralympics --- He won 3 shootoffs on the way to the bronze!

Today we have added 3 more medals in the Tokyo Paralympics ... So now we are having total 13 medals; 2 Gold, 6 Silver and 5 Bronze medals ... Interestingly Tokyo 2020 surpassed combined performance of total 12 medals from past Paralympics since 1968-2016.

Gold and Silver for India in 50m pistol mixed event … have to say 50m is the most exciting event to watch … it’s amazing how things can change so drastically with each shot ..

Yes, Manish Narwal and Singhraj Adhana become the first members of Team India to share a podium, finishing 1-2 in the Mixed 50m Pistol SH1 Final event ... 19-year-old Manish, who already has the world record, broke the Paralympic record to win gold in P4 Mixed 50m Pistol SH1 ... He shot a total of 218.2 to win event ... Singhraj Adhana bagged the silver to make it a sensational double podium and the first one-two finish at the Paralympics.

Manoj Sarkar bags Bronze medals beating a local Japanese opponent, Fujihara Daisuke, in straight games in the Men's Singles SL3 in the Badminton Event.

So it was another excellent day for India in the Tokyo Paralympics ... We have added 4 medals; 2 Gold, 1 Silver and 1 Bronze ... India has won 17 medals so far, with four gold, seven silver and six bronze.
We ended the track and field events with 8 medals, our athletes has won 1 gold, 5 silver and 2 bronze medals

If we are doing better in the paralympics, that is a good sign. That means we are at least at the highest level giving more support to the differently abled than some of our peers who are doing better at the main Olympics. But, are we doing better? Or are we just getting more medals because there are more medals?

Harvinder Singh should be roped in to teach our Olympic level archers about mental toughness. Looks like he is doing a PhD in Economics.

Almost all of our continental rivals in Uzbekistan, Iran, Thailand are also doing the same or better.

On the last day, our para-shuttler Krishna Nagar wins gold in the Men's Singles SH6 Badminton final ... He defeated Hong Kong shuttler Chu Man Kai in 3 sets.

India has ended their Tokyo Paralympics campaign with 19 medals; five gold, eight silver and six bronze medals ... We finished inside the top-25 standings for the first time and our final standing was 24th in the medals tally
