Yep. I get a regular demo of that with my daughter beating me to pulp while she is "walking" and I am running even though I don't run over a mile :-)

BTW, my take is that racewalking is not really walking at the elite levels. It is running under constraints (the two listed by IAAF rules).

15 year old Akash wins silver in mens individual recurve archery to get the 13th medal for us and complete a very good youth olympics for us.

We end up with 13 medals - 3 golds, 9 silvers and 1 bronze. Much better than only 2 medals in 2014 and also 8 medals in 2010. We got medals in 8 sports - 4 in shooting, 2 each in athletics and hockey, 1 in weightlifting, 1 in badminton, 1 in archery, 1 in wrestling and 1 in judo.

I think these are the sports which we need to focus on next few years to try to maximise medals - need to add boxing and tennis doubles and perhaps table tennis and for an outside chance in womens gymnastics and we have about 12 sports in which to try to get to medal winning abilities for 2024 olympics.

Yes, overall a pretty strong performance by India at the YOG. The US sent a slightly bigger squad and won a few more medals but overall performances were comparable. We also finished ahead of South Korea. Hopefully, this improvement will ultimately be reflected in the summer Olympics in due time.
