Yes she did specially after impressive qualifying score from Anjum.. Glad at least it’s an Indian upsetting an Indian unlike other events...

Yes, Tejaswini with a games record and Anjum with silver.
Gold #15 for us. We are already level with last games effort.

Looking at the scores from both the Asian Games in 2014 and Rio 2016, both Tejaswini and Anjum are medal prospects at the Olympic level.
Anjum with an Olympic medal level performance in qualifying and Tejaswini with one in the finals.

Great composure from our 4x400m runners from the beginning to the end (3:04:05) . We might be in for a medal here tomorrow if they can repeat a similar performance.

England and Nigeria didn't finish (or disqualified) so they should be favourites for a bronze. 2nd fastest qualifiers.
I hope they run below 3:04 tomorrow.
edit : Australia got disqualified as well so that should increase our bronze hopes.

Wow! Australia has been disqualified from the final list because one of their runners did not place himself in the right position based on their previous runner when he crossed the half distance.Sin Hombre wrote: ↑Fri Apr 13, 2018 2:35 amEngland and Nigeria didn't finish (or disqualified) so they should be favourites for a bronze. 2nd fastest qualifiers.

My mistake. Only Bajrang and Mausam thru to the finals. Pooja Dhanda and Divya Karan are thru to SF.

KT Irfan (walking) & Rakesh Babu (triple jump) have been kicked out of the Commonwealth Games after needles were found in the athletes villa.

First boxing SF done. As expected Amit Panghal beats the Ugandan to make the final. Final will be with tough English boxer though.

Achantha Sharath Kamal is in trouble after losing 2 of the first 3 games in his Singles QF against England's Liam Pitchford.
Re: Commonwealth Games 2018, Gold Coast, Australia, April 5-14
Yes, but she was doing 100m & 200m. Federation Games Cup in March 2018 was the the first time ever that she had raced in 400m. No one had expectations but she won & qualified for Commonwealth games with a time of 51.97s. And she has made 2 PBs in the Commonwealth games since then.Sin Hombre wrote: ↑Thu Apr 12, 2018 5:05 pm
She only started running 2 years back after switching from football and is still very young and 3-4 years from her peak age.
