Entries in top-level athletics meets are almost impossible to get. Third-grade or fourth-grade competitions would be available for most of the Indian athletes. This season only woman steeplechasers Lalita Babar and Sudha Singh got Diamond League (Shanghai) entries. Tintu Luka tried but failed. We do get easy entries in Chinese Taipei, Bangkok, Almaty, Bishkek etc. Mostly these are meets that are of very low standards.

Since, we discussed a lot on O.P. Jaisha incident post-Rio, thought it appropriate to put what appears to be a closure of the issue here-

Sports Ministry finds OP Jaisha’s coach Nikolai Snesarev responsible in Rio marathon controversy

The coach has packed up and gone away it seems. So, it may be convenient to blame him and get the issue closed, the committee would have thought. :D

The ministry panel came up with nothing. It did not try to answer Jaisha's main charge (no water was available for her on the marathon route) and instead tried to explain a non-existent issue (from Jaisha's side), that of "personalized drinks"not being made available to her. Even after the ministry panel came up with its finding, after two months of investigations, all it found was the coach was responsible for the incident without explaining whether Jaisha had sought "personalized drinks" or not. And on her part Jaisha maintained after the panel report was made public that she would quit athletics if it was proved that "WATER" was made available to her on the marathon route.
The panel could easily have verified from various sources whether water was available on the route, arranged by Olympic organizers (not to be confused with "personalized drinks/refreshments arranged by various countries for their own athletes), and whether such water was available to Jaisha also irrespective of whether she actually drank it or not!
An Olympic marathon without water!
