England Pulls out of the World Badminton Championships.These morons were set to get paranoid anyways with till the talk about the threat perception from terrorist groups across the border.These are the people who are the cause of all the problems in the world and they seems to get wet in their pants at the slightest opportunity.

I wonder how much thought was put into this decision -- I am sure that every major city in India is under threat from LeT.

Re: World Badminton Championships,Hyderabad
is anyone following this - parupalli kashyap is leading Jin Chen (World #2) 17-13. come on, parupalli !!!
3 straight pts, 20-13 ; can he make it the greatest upset in these championships so far or is it going to be a typical case of starting off well and fizzling out like happens to so many of our badminton players? let's see.
he takes the first game 21-14. come on, keep it going in the 2nd.
2-2 in the 2nd set.
2-4 ; 3-6, come on, hold on, don't fizzle out ; 4-8; 4-11 ; 10-18; lost the 2nd set 10-21 ; hope he manages to give a fight in the 3rd
1-1; 1-3; 4-6; oh no, 4-9 ; 5-11 i think it's game over for parupalli unless he stages a miraculous comeback ; 5-13;
just as i suspected, parupalli flatters to deceive, loses 3rd set without any fight 7-21 ; anyways, better luck next time !!!

Re: World Badminton Championships,Hyderabad
chetan anand leading Stilian Makarski 17-8 1st set
19-9; a quick close to 1st set 21-9
closer in the 2nd set 3-3; 8-6; 10-9; 14-14 nail-biting now ; still neck-and-neck 16-16; chetan inches ahead 19-17 ;
chetan wins the match 21-9, 21-17 and makes his way to the PQFs. There he comes up against Sony Dwi Kuncoro (6). Obviously, that match would much tougher. let's hope that crowd support will make a difference.

Re: World Badminton Championships,Hyderabad
Chetan seems to be in good form based on the his decisive win in the first round against the Korean. If he plays with grit, he probably has the game to win in the PQF.
