After 1952 we wins 2 medals in Olympics but after our boxer Vijender qualifying for semis ensured another medal for us ... And this is the first occassion when we r winning 3 medals in same Olympics ... First ever medal in the Boxing and first medal after 56 yrs in the Wrestling.

Carlos Gongora was #7 and Vijender is #17 in ranking ... He played superb technical boxing skill to win this bout ... Vijender was very good in defense ... He also used his long reach and straight punch (jab) in his favour to ensured first Indian medal in boxing.

In semis, on Friday Vijender facing strong Cuban boxer Emilio Correa Bayeaux.
