We have 2 qualifiers in 10m air pistol final too. Sourabh doing it with relative ease as he had a 586 total for a 2nd place, while an amazing 100 in the final series takes Shahzar Rizvi to final with a total of 583 and 5th place. The final has 3 Chinese and 2 Indians... Funnily this is an event where we have 2 full quotas while the Chinese don't have a single quota(In terms of total quotas the Chinese have 17 to Indian 5.)

Started very poorly with 93, needed a perfect 100 at the last series and he did it to finish 5th overall with a total score of 583.
His first finals of 2019.
He will be joined in the final by our wonder boy Saurabh who finished 2nd with a score of 586

He would have qualified even with a 99 too, though barely at 8th place.
When he started the final series I thought he will hit a 99. As his series was 93 99 95 99 97 100.

I think we can also say that Apurvi is the best female shooter ever from our country. Touchwood.
What I love about her is how down to earth she is, no unnecessary statement, stays away from limelight, media and social sites, always focussed on work.
She is such an excellent example and motivation for the young shooters from our country.

Manu finished 5th ; missed 7 (!) in a row to go from 1st to elimination. She is insanely good at completely freezing and losing it.

Can't believe this..................Almost 2 quotas......just needed 2/5....Manu was leading along with Rahi at that moment and her pistol malfunctions

Manu is in tears....This will be real hard on her confidence.
We should have got 2 quotas but got only 1 with Rahi winning the gold in the end.....but that was true disappointment for manu.

Manu finished 5th ; missed 7 (!) in a row to go from 1st to elimination. She is insanely good at completely freezing and losing it.

That was not her fault though. Pistol malfunctioned at that time.

She was so impressive today, that Gold was hers
1 place away from quota and this happens
What a bad luck.
But this has happened to best of the shooters, part and parcel of the game, hope the team helps her regroup and be back with a bang in 2 days.

So happy to see Rahi back in form and get that Gold.
She went down a bit after the Asian Games but today she was very solid

heart breaking for Manu. Hoping all bad luck to end soon in this world cup itself from the 10m event. I am hopeful she will win quotas in both her events before qualification cycle ends, especially in 25m pistol there are a whopping 4 quota on offer in the Asian championship and she is too good to be left out in that Asia level event by when most of the top Asia contenders would have already obtained a quota. Actually she would have got a quota by now if the first phase of qualification( the 2 world cups in Feb and April) didn't coincide with her CBSE exams. Only an Indian would understand how these things can affect even professional sports persons.

If she wins quota in one event she will automatically qualify the other event as she already has mqs in both the events. I was hoping she would get the quota in 25m pistol as there is a higher chance for yasaswini and heena to get quotas in 10m air pistol than others in 25m pistol. And as we send manu for both the events we can exchange the extra 25m pistol quota with another event.

But, Rahi is pretty good in 25M pistol too as we saw yesterday and in Asian games. She is particularly good in finals. So, unlikely that get quota will get exchanged if we get 2 quotas in that event.

Another superb show by Saurabh who continues to amaze. So, we have 2 doubles gold medalist at the world cups this year ( Apurvi and Saurabh). I doubt if we had this kind of success in world cups in any year.
