Only Kynan in contention for final with 98/100 after 4 rounds.A perfect 25 in round 5 would secure final, 24 may result in a shoot out and a 23 would mostly mean out of final.
Missed one already the first 5, another one he won't make it to final.
Edit: Kynan missed only that one on the last round and shot 122/125. So it will be elimination shoot outs for final.
1 shooter with 125/125. 3 with 123. so 4 spots filled up there. 2 spots left out of 7 shooters for eliminations
Edit: I guess i am wrong, they take all shooters who missed one or more. So leaving the top shooter who shot 125 all other 2 to 11 placed shooters are going for eliminations for 5 spots , but earlier score would be carried through.
Kynan finds himself in a similar position from which he got eliminated in earlier world cup.

But, this time Kynan got really close there. Got eliminated last in the shoot off for final and finished in 7th place. If he continues at this level, he may be able to get the quota place in one of the next 2 world cups or at least in the end at the Asian championships. 3 Asians already have won quota places in trap.

Rifle and Pistol shooting world cup began in Beijing, China this week. Another one with olympic quota places.

First day only 10M air rifle women event was there were we have already picked up the 2 available quotas. Today, both the quota winners, Apurvi Chandela and Anjum Modugil qualified for the final- Apurvi with a top score of 630.9 and Anjum fourth with 629.4. Elavenil scored 626.9 for 17th place. In the MQS, Mehuli Ghosh scored an excellent 632.2.

In the final though, Apurvi and Anjum could finish only 4th and 6th respectively.

From tomorrow, where we can hope at least a few quota places begin.

Disappointment today in womens 10M air pistol event. Manu Bhakar with 575 ended 17th and Heena Siddhu with 572 ends 26th. Best Indian performance came from our third best shooter Yeshswini Deswal who finished 10th with a score of 577. Both Yeshswini and Manu were in line for the final ( being in 1st and 3rd place ) with only and and half of 6 rounds to go. But, their hopes were destroyed by bad last round.

No Indian was anywhere near final in mens 50m rifle 3 positions too.

Ughh ..that was frustrating to see...Both Yashaswini and Manu started so well that I was sure that they both would qualify for the finals.....but those last 2 rounds ...especially that last one....
Yashaswini's score by round 98 98 97 98 95 91 ........I was actually checking the world record during the 4th round. To put it into perspective she would have needed to 98 98 in last 2 rounds for equaling that WR. But in the end she missed the final by one shot........She had 3 8's in the final round when she had none before.
Even Manu was excellent till the 4th round
Manu - 96 98 97 97 95 92 ..... they were even at 1-2 positions by the end of 3rd round I think.

And in the final, 5th and 6th placed shooters won the quota places as top 4 shooters already had quotas. It shows that by making the final Yeshswini and Manu would have had more than fair chance of getting an olympic quota. Sadly they could not keep their nerves in the last 10-15% of qualifying competition and that is what shooting is all about as a sport.

I hope Saurabh will get us a quota place here, rest is all lottery. Maybe Manu has a chance in 25m.

Both our mixed teams for Air Rifle ( Divyansh Panwar and Anjum Modugil) and Air pistol (Saurabh Chaudhary and Manu Bhaker ) won gold medals. The pair of Saurabh and Manu absolutely dominated the Chinese pair which included an olympic champion in the new format of one to one final.

This pair of Saurabh and Manu is indeed a potential Tokyo medal winning pair. But, first Manu has to qualify in one of the individual events for them to be able to pair as a team in Tokyo.

Divyansh Panwar with a Silver and Quota for India in 10m Air Rifle.
Superb shooting by the 16 year old.
This also means we can field a team in the Air Rifle Mixed team event.
4th Quota for India overall.

Yes, looks like another prodigious talent coming up. Deepak Kumar and Ravi Kumar have been our best shooters in air rifle for last couple of years since Abhinav and Gagan retired. And we were looking up to them to get the air rifle quotas. Deepak had come close to that in world championships and now this 16 year Divyansh Singh Panwar comes from nowhere and wins a silver and quota in a world class field. Fantastic. He also won the mixed team gold and apparently shot better than Anjum Modugil in that final. So, he looks like another kid who can hold his nerves.

Excellent stuff from Divyansh. Will wait to see some consistency before we put him on the list.

Abhishek verma into the finals in 10m air pistol...with a score of 585. After a slow start of 290 I was kind of giving up but he pulled a complete 100 out of the hat...that was amazing..
