Please check your accounts on the new forums
Hi,
Could you all please check your accounts on the new forums that will in place in a couple of days.
The site for now is :
LINK REMOVED AS SITE HAS NOW BEEN CONVERTED
Please post any problems in this thread here so that I remember to correct them as I go along with the main board conversion. You have up until August 25th Monday morning UK time to make the tests you need to....

Re: Please check your accounts on the new forums
I like the quick mod tools and the mod control panel is a good tool too. Having the user details on the right hand side of the post might not be a change to everyones liking.
Does the "view new posts" give you the new posts since your last visit? I know thats a feature that quite a few use on the existing site.
I think the new site defintely looks better.

The "User control panel" is very versatile!
i would like to see a link for:
All unread posts
Unread posts by favorite user(s), from a list that could be setup
Please reset the total login time
Thanks, Dhruv for all the things you do to keep Sports-India going!

Yes it does - this is how I usually start browsing on each visit, so I made sure to test it.S_K_S wrote:Does the "view new posts" give you the new posts since your last visit?

Re: Please check your accounts on the new forums
I like PHPbb 3, I have used joomla with PHPbb 3 with delightful results.
I want to Recommend you to use Jfusion bridge to bridge joomla and phpbb login.
Or else
You can use Wrapper menu on joomla admin to nicely integrate phpbb and joomla.
I am talking on terms of how http://www.joomla.org/ looks, clicking on the forum link on homepage brings to phpbb forum and its very nicely done with the top menu retained on any other subsequent pages, and then removeing the left menu bar/nav bar from other pages, expect the frontpage of sports-india.com.
Im more than willing to help you out here. catch me on gtalk- krinish.
Ill be online.

yeah moderators (other than global moderators) have not been set up as i need to do this again today.
Krinix, thanks for the offer but i need to upgrade to Jommla 1.5 first so I am thinking of Drupal and phpbb as Drupal appears to be quite powerful.

Hi Dhruv,
The number of my posts have miraculously gone past 2000 (it was around 1600)!

PS: I like the feel and most definitely the default fonts.
