Brilliant! Very wise choice. We Bengalis love fish, as you know. I mean we hate fish. We hate it so much that we kill it and eat it. I don't actually know why people say they love fish though. I think we should say we hate it to be more accurate.

Anyway, are you dealing with stockfish or fishstock? Both are better than animal stock imho.

Thanks for checking! Yes, everything is fine. The UC Irvine campus and where we live, are at the southwest corner of Irvine near Newport Beach, so I am some 10 miles away. But the fire was big, out of control, and getting very close to houses at the northeast corner. Luckily the winds died down today and it seemed to move away in the bushy hillsides near living areas. I believe no homes have been lost though a lot of people evacuated.

Time to change the title of this thread to "Working from home AND Working out at home during Covid-19".

And time to update some old sayings:
"All work (from home) and no play (at home) makes Jack a dull boy."

Here is a seven minute workout that you can do almost anywhere. It took me several months before I could do all the exercises for the allotted duration! So no shame if you bail out on some! These exercises are based on the article published in American College of Sports Medicine. It features 12 exercises deploying only body weight, a wall and a chair. I do it 2-3 times a week.

I too have a 7 minute workout that involves only my body weight, a chair and wall. I sit on the chair, put my feet up on the wall.... and watch this exercise video for 7 minutes! I do it 2-3 times a day! It is based on the World College of Armchair Sports!

In all seriousness, though, thanks to all for sharing their home workout routines. Inspiring and insightful.

That's great, Suresh. Keep up the good work(out).

The work out that you describe seems to be a HIIT work out, which is greatly in favour these days for the best efficiency and effectiveness in building strength, developing cardiovascular fitness, lowering blood sugar, improving testosterone, increasing bone density, and reducing blood pressure.

Yes, it is a HIIT workout. That is why it took me several months to handle the seven minutes. It is okay to substitute some of them with easier ones -- for instance, push ups have simpler versions. I had issues with my shoulder and neck for decades that kind of disappeared after several months of doing this workout.
