Re: Coronavirus SARS-Cov2 (COVID-19)
The case reports from Tuesday, May 17th are: ANI 0, AP 9, ARP 0, ASM 3, BIH 7, CHD 8, CHG 4, DNHDD 0, DEL 393, Goa 12, GUJ 28, HAR 275, HP 12, J&K 5, JH 3, KAR 109, KER 324, LDK 0, LKS 0, MP 19, MAH 266, MNP 0, MEG 0, MIZ 22, NAG 0, ODI 3, PUD 1, PUN 16, RAJ 59, SKM 0, TN 34, TEL 38, TPR 0, UK 12, UP 129, WB 48
The national case total was +1,839 which dropped the daily average for the week by -150 to 2,376... There were 2 deaths (both in Delhi) and Kerala added 31 old deaths to the total.
So the steady drop continues in the Delhi area, and no serious wave is building up anywhere else either.

Re: Coronavirus SARS-Cov2 (COVID-19)
The totals for the states on Wednesday, May 18th were: ANI 0, AP 8, ARP 0, ASM 2, BIH 10, CHD 16, CHG 14, DNHDD 0, DEL 532, Goa 15, GUJ 32, HAR 257, HP 18, J&K 6, JH 3, KAR 122, KER 596, LDK 1, LKS 0, MP 37, MAH 307, MNP 0, MEG 0, MIZ 26, NAG 2, ODI 13, PUD 3, PUN 16, RAJ 59, SKM 1, TN 36, TEL 45, TPR 0, UK 22, UP 139, WB 26
That leads to +2,350, taking our average down by -65 to 2,311... There were 4 deaths (1 each in AP, KAR, MAH, UP) and Kerala added 6 old deaths to that.
After about a month or so, Kerala is again back at the top in case count, as Delhi has fallen below KER. There is clear rise in the Kerala numbers week to week, though it is all a slow and weak rise. People had better go get their vaccines and boosters. Need to be careful.

The numbers for Thursday, May 19th are: ANI 0, AP 1, ARP 1, ASM 0, BIH 5, CHD 6, CHG 8, DNHDD 0, DEL 520, Goa 15, GUJ 19, HAR 267, HP 8, J&K 11, JH 7, KAR 124, KER 501, LDK 0, LKS 0, MP 45, MAH 316, MNP 0, MEG 0, MIZ 26, NAG 0, ODI 12, PUD 5, PUN 20, RAJ 65, SKM 3, TN 42, TEL 47, TPR 0, UK 12, UP 129, WB 36
The national total from that is +2,251 and that drops our daily average for the week by -85 to 2,226... There were 3 deaths (2 in UP and 1 in Delhi) and Kerala added 17 old ones.
The Kerala and Maharashtra totals are still inching up ever slowly. But nothing is looking ominous anywhere.

That yields a total of +2,341 and it drops our average by -72 to 2,154... There were 2 deaths (one each in UP and MIZ) and Kerala added 23 more old deaths to it.
It is pretty clear that Kerala and Maharashtra waves are going up. The Delhi area wave is now down to about 800 total, about one third of the peak numbers earlier... It is status quo everywhere else.

The state-wise updates for Saturday, May 21st are: ANI 0, AP 7, ARP 0, ASM 0, BIH 3, CHD 10, CHG 3, DNHDD 0, DEL 479, Goa 4, GUJ 28, HAR 235, HP 3, J&K 15, JH 1, KAR 155, KER 558, LDK 2, LKS 0, MP 43, MAH 307, MNP 0, MEG 1, MIZ 16, NAG 0, ODI 8, PUD 7, PUN 13, RAJ 80, SKM 0, TN 46, TEL 40, TPR 0, UK 9, UP 121, WB 32
That yields a national total of +2,226 which drops the daily average for the week by -42 to 2,112... There were 2 deaths (one each in Delhi and UP) and Kerala added a big count of 63 old deaths to it.
I think a lot of people are continuing to justify all kinds of deaths to have been caused by Covid, maybe just to get the Rs. 50K. I mean, Kerala has not reported a death on the day for some 4 or 5 weeks now, but continue to add an average of 25 deaths per day from earlier. There cannot be that much of disparity between daily reports and audited death reports without some deliberate manipulation, right?

Re: Coronavirus SARS-Cov2 (COVID-19)
The totals for Sunday, May 22nd are: ANI 0, AP 14, ARP 0, ASM 0, BIH 8, CHD 13, CHG 9, DNHDD 0, DEL 365, Goa 6, GUJ 15, HAR 160, HP 7, J&K 8, JH 0, KAR 167, KER 545, LDK 1, LKS 0, MP 44, MAH 326, MNP 0, MEG 1, MIZ 16, NAG 0, ODI 15, PUD 2, PUN 9, RAJ 60, SKM 0, TN 43, TEL 29, TPR 0, UK 6, UP 123, WB 35
That gives us a total of +2,027 for India, dropping the daily average by -28 to 2,084... There were 3 deaths (1 each in DEL, PUN, UP) and Kerala added 43 old deaths to it.
The Delhi and nearby area's numbers have dropped to around 600, but more than half of India's total is now made up by the southwest coastal states, KER-KAR-MAH with 1000+ and the numbers are rising at around a +50 per day average rate in those three states.

So it yields a +1,641 for the country, which raised the average (for the first time in 15 days) by a +12 to 2,096... There were zero deaths reported, but Kerala added 31 earlier deaths.
So, the Delhi area wave is over and we are probably on the upswing of the Ker-Kar-Mah wave now. Slow, so nothing to worry, I suppose.

Re: Coronavirus SARS-Cov2 (COVID-19)
They are certifiably crazy, if they think a rise from 1000 cases to 3200 cases and back to 2000 cases in the last several weeks is showing some "surge" in India. Some of these countries behave laughably. But then again, maybe they are looking at just Kerala, but even that is hardly much of a surge right now.

The national total was +2,146, which raises our daily average for the past week up by a +44 to 2140... There were 4 deaths (2 in Delhi, 1 each in Mah and MP) and Kerala added 13 old cases to it.
So, it was around +700 in the areas around Delhi and +924 in the Ker-Kar-Mah belt. The wave is going up, and we need to wait to see where it will peak in these three states. My guess now is that the Indian total may go up to around 5000 to 7500 cases due to the southwest coastal belt, and by then TN/AP/TEL/ODI should start showing higher numbers too. Or maybe MP/CHG/JH/BIH also... Just wild hunches.

The Kerala-Karnataka-Maharashtra belt wave rose a bit more sharply than I expected, to 1425... It was 1025 a week ago and 877 two weeks ago, so keep your fingers crossed.

US with 100k average is not in that list. And noneof the top 10 countries are in that list. Probably something in the background unrelated to covidjayakris wrote: ↑Tue May 24, 2022 6:52 pmThey are certifiably crazy, if they think a rise from 1000 cases to 3200 cases and back to 2000 cases in the last several weeks is showing some "surge" in India.
