^^ Here are the whole set of numbers. Looks like I should restart the daily numbers thread:

ANI 0, AP 2, ARP 3, ASM 1, BIH 0, CHD 1, CTHG 3, DNHDD 0, DEL 202, Goa 3, GUJ 24, HAR 149, HP 9, J&K 8, JH 0, KAR 48, KER 298, LDK 1, LKS 0, MP 3, MAH 113, MNP 3, MEG 1, MIZ 149, NAG 4, ODI 6, PUD 0, PUN 9, RAJ 10, SKM 0, TN 22, TEL 20, TPR 0, UK 2, UP 32, WB 20

So we had a +1146 on Tuesday, which meant a small +5 increase in the seven-day average to 1021... There were 9 deaths (4 in MAH) and Kerala added 18 old ones to it. The average has done +2, -16, +6, +5 for the last 4 days... Pretty much flat now. Is it going to seriously rise. I guess that depends on when and where the DEL/HAR wave will spread to. Maharashtra is still calm, but I am uneasy about MAH.

Yes, please restart the thread. Looks like we can only get all the numbers once the ministry releases them.

Will restart the thread soon. Some couple of busy days at work...

Here are the numbers for Wednesday, the 13th: ANI 0, AP 1, ARP 2, ASM 0, BIH 1, CHD 5, CHTG 3, DNHDD 0, DEL 299, Goa 1, GUJ 10, HAR 179, HP 12, J&K 12, JH 4, KAR 92, KER (no report!), LDK 1, LKS 0, MP 10, MAH 124, MNP 4, MEG 1, MIZ 91, NAG 3, ODI 14, PUD 2, PUN 4, RAJ 20, SKM 0, TN 29, TEL 19, TPR 0, UK 4, UP 55, WB 18

That comes to +1020 total, and a -9 in the average to 1013... But that is only because KER seems to have given no numbers even to the central ministry!... Assuming that KER had some 225 or so cases (pretty sure it was around there), the real increase in the average is around +25... No doubt that the new wave is on, though it is entirely in Delhi and the vicinity area in Haryana and UP (nearly 500 cases, half our total!). That is it. It is still dropping everywhere else, and down to just about 500 outside of the Delhi area and Kerala. Wow. But since KER reported nothing, there was only one death in India, in Maharashtra. I am glad that nothing has started blowing up in MAH yet.

Here are the numbers for Thursday the 14th... ANI 0, AP 5, ARP 0, ASM 0, BIH 3, CHD 3, CHTG 0, DNHDD 0, DEL 325, Goa 1, GUJ 11, HAR 170, HP 2, J&K 6, JH 2, KAR 45, KER (no report), LDK 0, LKS 0, MP 2, MAH 103, MNP 13, MEG 0, MIZ 61, NAG 0, ODI 11, PUD 1, PUN 11, RAJ 16, SKM 1, TN 25, TEL 19, TPR 0, UK 8, UP 90, WB 15

So we had +966 cases, that brought the average down by -17 to 995... But that is because some 250 or so cases in Kerala are just not reported... Otherwise the case total crept up again today thanks to the Delhi area (and the average was actually up, probably by about +20) . There were 5 deaths reported (all in Maharashtra)

Delhi and areas in its vicinity in Haryana and UP area had around 500+ cases and the rest of the country (excluding Kerala) had about 450 cases.

It is crazy that KER just simply stopped giving any numbers. None whatsoever. It doesn't seem like they are even tracking it district-wise anymore. Out of the blue, they stopped on Apr 10th. It is like, "let us move on. this is just another disease. what is the big deal?"... Are they right? Maybe, but more likely, Kerala is acting like they know better than the world... That is the attitude about everything, while the state is often pretty clueless about many things. My home state certainly has guts to be different. I give them that, though I wish they would demonstrate a bit more thinking and substance behind what often looks like arrogance.

The continued death counts in Maharashtra are an indication that they are not testing in many areas. But then again they may be better than most other states, who seem to be neither testing in many areas, nor bothering to check if any of the deaths are from Covid! The reported numbers are probably so far from reality everywhere that nothing should be taken as reliable. From that standpoint, maybe Kerala is right!! Why even bother, if you are not going to do a thorough job of counting cases, deaths and tests??

Friday statewise numbers... ANI 0, AP 14, ARP 0, ASM 0, BIH 1, CHD 4, CHG 3, DNHDD 0, DEL 366, Goa 3, GUJ 11, HAR 174, HP 4, J&K 5, JH 0, KAR 49, KER (no report), LDK 1, LKS 0, MP 6, MAH 69, MNP 3, MEG 0, MIZ 61, NAG 0, ODI 17, PUD 0, PUN 9, RAJ 17, SKM 2, TN 22, TEL 15, TPR 0, UK 2, UP 108, WB 17

That added up on Friday the 15th to +983 which dropped the average by -24 to 971 (but if we add some 200-250 in Kerala, it is a small increase of +10 or so)... Delhi and vicinity areas in Haryana and UP had about 600 cases in that total. There were 4 deaths, one each in HAR, HP, MIZ, and HP.

I get the feeling that the rise in case total the Delhi area is not rising dramatically like in the Omicron wave. Let us wait for another week and see if the wave starts blowing up.

Meanwhile, China had +50K today, as they may be about to lose control of it.

Delhi - 16Apr - 461,TPR 5.33%

The wave in Delhi is now clear to see. Let us hope it is like the third wave (Omicron). It is not clear which variant is driving this wave (Omicron XE?).

Here are the totals for Saturday the 16th: ANI 0, AP 4, ARP 0, ASM 0, BIH 2, CHD 3, CHG 0, DNHDD 0, DEL 461, Goa 3, GUJ 4, HAR 202, HP 15, J&K 9, JH 4, KAR 45, KER (no report), LDK 0, LKS 0, MP 13, MAH 98, MNP 5, MEG 0, MIZ 96, NAG 0, ODI 10, PUD 0, PUN 5, RAJ 8, SKM 0, TN 23, TEL 24, TPR 0, UK 1, UP 102, WB 13.

So there were +1107 cases, which raised the average by a +1 to 972... Again, including KER numbers, it would be around a +30... There were 4 deaths (2 in DEL and one each in MIZ and J&K).

Delhi and its vicinity areas in HAR and UP had about +700 cases and the rest of India had only a +400 (excluding Kerala with no report).
