Not impressed with Bharat Boitech. They need to hire a administrator who can push all of this work.

The conservatives say that we prefer natural immunity, then be the first person in line to go get monoclonal antibody. Do these people actually realize that their body will not have natural immunity after monoclonal treatment?

My understanding is that Your risk of re-infection would be higher with mon colonial antibody then recovery from natural infection or vaccination

Bharat Biotech appears averse to sharing all data. Recall, that they took eternity to put out their data on Phase 3 trials. Again something similar is going on with regard to approval for children in the age groups 12-18. Totally unprofessional and I am sure that they are messing up with their documentation with WHO. It is important that WHO approval comes so that people who took Covaxin can travel out of the country.

Kerala had a 11,150 from 94,151 tests at 11.84% TPR... It is actually 61 cases more than on last Wednesday, though from 4156 more tests and at a TPR that is is 0.5 less than on last Wednesday. Nothing to worry, but Kerala didn't help in any drop of India's seven-day average today, adding a +9 instead.

See updates in the Updates thread post ... About 18.3K today. The big states didn't drop much today, and the daily average may only drop by about 115 or so.

Update: We finished with +18,382 from about 1334K tests @ 1.38%... Only 160 deaths... The seven day average fell by -116 to 15,287

------------
ICMR Update: 595,742,218 total tests... Wednesday tests: 1,247,506...

I believe Bharat Biotech is fudging data. Their phase 3 trial was happening when Delta was rampaging in India and however good the vaccine was it would not have made the minimum 50% efficacy mark needed for approvals...But how many other vaccines that got approved by WHO if tested in India at that period would have made the 50% mark? Will WHO take the results of continued administration of other vaccines against Delta and cancel its approvals for those vaccines in retrospect? So the question should be whether WHO is really using same yard stick or just serving their Chinese masters!

This is the reason i think Indian government should start saying things that undermine WHO vaccine approvals....Just start saying who believes the WHO vaccine approvals and things like we may be asking mandatory quarantine for tourists and visitors for certain vaccines not withstanding WHO approval or otherwise. Approvals are bound to come if India starts that one-upmanship.Trump may have been master fabricator of lies but one thing i liked about him was how he undermined WHO authority as he realized there were several stooges in WHO serving under Chinese payroll. If Indian government can take a leaf out of his playbook and implement, people like me who took Covaxin don't need to quarantine for 10 days if we ever need to travel to places like piddly islands.

It seems we just went past 1 billion vaccine shots now on Thursday. About 706M first doses and 294M full doses.

KL - 8733 (from 86303 tests for a TPR of just over 10%)
MH - 1573
TN - 1164
WB - 833 (TPR 2.5%) TPR went up post Durga puja but has stayed under 3%.

OR - 524
AP - 493
KA - 365

We are going to have 15-16K today. Last Thursday, we had 16988 cases. So we will have another drop of around 150 in the seven day average of cases.

Around +15,774 today in India... From about 1356K tests @ 1.16%... The deaths were 232, as it was the weekly peak day. The seven-day average fell by around -173 to 15,114 today.

I don't know what is going on in Jharkhand. On the one hand there is some medical staff strike or something going on (no press releases the last couple of days) ... And then the case numbers have been going up lately. It seems it was 40 cases today. It was 10 or less a month ago. What was about 50 or 60 active cases 3-4 weeks ago is not up near 166 cases. Need to keep an eye. Chattisgarh is also showing some signs of a mild increase in numbers. Hopefully it is all nothing.

^^ West Bengal needs closer monitoring. I don't think the numbers from the fraudulent states mean anything.

Big States 22/10/2021 Friday

KL - 9361 (from 80393 tests and TPR 11.6%) I feel that Kerala needs to test more -- stay above 100K every day if TPR has to come down.
MH - 1632
TN - 1152
WB - 846 (TPR 2.1%)
MZ - 737 ('TPR 9.4%)
AP - 478
OR - 467
KA - 378

Total - 15051 (MH to come)

We are going to have around 16-17K cases today. We had 16003 cases last Friday. So the seven day average will remain more or less unchanged.

Kerala had almost identical numbers for the total cases on Thursday and Friday, as last week. 16.8K last week, 16.7K this week. Nearly identical test numbers too. A 500 drop yesterday but a 500 rise today, compared to last week. But I think some of this is because of the flood situation that prevented and delayed quite a few people from getting tested early enough, so some people who should've been in the Tuesday/Wednesday counts got into today's count. It may happen tomorrow too, but soon it will drop again, if I were to guess. But thanks to Kerala showing an extra +500 today, India also will get a rise by around 300 and a rise in the seven-day average by about 40, our first rise in 32 days.

So we had +16,328 on Friday, from about 1379K tests @ 1.18% ... Kerala added 464 old deaths to today's 99 for 563 deaths, so India had 666 deaths added :( .... India's seven-day average of daily cases went up by +46 to 15,160...

The vaccinations have been good for the last three days with 7.3M, 7.4M and 7.1M... This week has been passable so far with 36.4M in six days. Hopefully we will finish the week tomorrow with 42 to 45M jabs. I can live with that, but not the 29.6M we had for all of last week. So far it is 122.8M for the month of October in 22 days. We can probably finish the month with somewhere around 170M to 175M doses, I suppose.

Kerala continues to contribute more than 50% of the daily cases. So our seven day average will track Kerala for the coming week. Let us hope that testing numbers in Kerala move up a little and numbers/TPR start falling further.

Big States 23/10/2021 Saturday

KL - 8909 (from 86111 tests and TPR of 10.3%) up from 7995 last week
MH - 1701 up from 1553 last week
TN - 1140
WB - 974 (TPR 2.26%) Numbers rising!
MZ - 745 (TPR 10.3%)
OR - 441
AP - 396
KA - 371

Total - 14677

I expect 15-16K cases today. We had 14078 cases last Saturday. So the seven day average will go up by around 200 today! This is mostly fueled by the increases in Kerala and Maharashtra.
