You are right Ajay, but I wrote it from a physician's perspective. All doctors hate to be proven wrong and I will use my mentor, former Chairman and former Dean to illustrate this point. I had been playing tennis regularly with this physician until last year. Several years back, he had chest pain and symptoms of heart attack. He had him rushed to a hospital where he was kept overnight and told that everything is OK. Good news, right?ajay wrote:C'mon Doc! That would be the good thing to hear, not the worst!
A few years later, we were playing tennis when he started to have symptoms of heart attack and he was in such a denial because he did not want to be proven wrong twice. Nothing would convince him to go to the ER or call his cardiologist, and he insisted on driving himself to our clinic where the EKG showed evidence of heart attack. Last year, he died of a massive heart attack in his sleep.
Addendum:
My illness has made me realize how important friends are in getting better. All of you have been wonderful and I cannot thank enough for all your support, prayers and good wishes. I am truly blessed.
