Sad to see such an icon in India sport writing pass away at such an early age (60)! Nirmal Shekar, I always looked at the by line of any sports reports and this was one name that I looked forward and loved to read. Very eloquent, at times poetic reports. I am sure it was such a thrill for him to see one of his favorite tennis stars Federer win the Aussie open recently!! RIP

^^^ I didn't know about him, but Om Shanthi to him. That is a true activist. Anybody who had the guts to take down a Jayalalitha poster in Chennai deserves special consideration for bravery in Vaikuntam by Lord Vishnu whose feet he must be trying to reach or has reached.

Today morning, Lata Mangeshkar passes away at 92 ... She was admitted to Mumbai's Breach Candy Hospital for the last 29 days for Covid+Pneumonia complication.
Two-day national mourning to be observed in memory of Lata Mangeshkar. The National flag to fly at half-mast for two days, as a mark of respect.

We will miss you Lata ji!
