It looks pretty difficult to make a living playing squash. A top-100 player has to play in a $12K tournament...tennis was well past this stage by the late-1960s.

Ritwik appears to be struggling, although playing in Pakistan against locals is never going to be easy! Especially in squash, where it is izzat ka sawal for the Pakistanis...

Pradipta, if you have any news of wins by Ritwik, please let us know. We haven't seen much success for him in recent times -- and there are too few squash tournaments for even a top-100 player like Ritwik to properly shine.

Welcome to the forum Pradipta...
Looks like Ritwik is on a little slump this year. But a decent performance in a couple of upcoming tournaments would bring him what he is actually upto, I suppose.
He might have entered into Asian Squash Chamiponship, Malaysia (18-26 June) and also Pak series 2 in 1st week July, but not sure as the entry has not yet released in the web pages.
In the year 2002 Aisan Championship event Ritwik had reached the quarters, but the women entries Vaidehy Reddy and Joshna were first round casualties, but Mekhla Subedar reached quarters. The team results were as below: -
Men lost in the semifinal to Pak (0-3), Malaysia won the Championship. The men's team comprised of Rittwik Bhattacharya, Manish Chotrani, Bikram Uberoi.
Women lost in the Final to Malaysia (0-3). The women team comprised of Joshna Chinappa, Vaidehi Reddy, Mekhla Subedar.
Not bad at all!!!
BTW, where is Saurav, Gaurav, Joshna, Supreet and all.
