Squash in India

Post by BSharma »

Kathir in Malaysia is one of the biggest fans along with some other people in this forum and he has provided us with useful first hand reports many times. He has now come up with another exclusive! He has been in touch with the Indian squash coach Mr. Cyrus Poncha, and Kathir informed me that Cyrus visits our forum. Thanks Kathir! :D

As I have mentioned earlier in another thread, this forum has become the site to get current, accurate and sometimes exclusive news about Indian sports, to follow lively discussion about sports, and to read about the history of sports (thanks PKB and Jay). Thanks Dhruv and Jay for setting up this forum, and to everyone who has contributed to this forum.

Thanks Bhushan for those great reports from SquashTalk, etc. They appear to suggest that Ritwik is seriously talented and ready to break into the top-50 soon, if not the top-20! Wow! For the last thirty years, we were always well below world-class in squash (although better than the rest of Asia other than Pakistan). Now Pakistan has slid, and we have raised our level very significantly. Great!

I'll be on holiday in Calcutta for the next 10 days, so I'll see if I can get any information on Sourav Ghoshal while I'm there!
