We have three Indians still remaining in the fray. Joshna Chinnapa, Harindar Pal Sandhu and Mahesh Mangaonkar.
unfortunately both Harineder and Mahesh face each other in the QF though this ensures atleast one Indian representation in the semi finals. Both beat higher ranked opponents in the first round. Mahesh has won two qualifying games to reach the main draw.
Joshna beat Lee Ka Yi of Hongkong 11/4 11/9 12/10 in the first round to reach the quarterfinals. She will play another HK player Tong Tsz-Wing in the QF.
