First time India reach both finals in Asian squash championship ... Indian men reached the final first time after they reached final in the first tournament in 1981.

Local Kuwait players tested our players in both matches but our players managed to overcome in both encounters ... Dipika and Anaka were better players on the court than Koreans and that reflected on the result.

In the final our men team is facing 4th seed Pakistan, who upset 2nd seed Malaysian team 2-0 in the semis ... Our women team is playing against top-seed Hong Kong, who defeated 2nd seed Malaysia 2-1 in the semis.

Men's Team Championship

Harinder Pal Singh (IND,92) bt Sallem Fayez Mohammed (KUW,321) 12-10 11-9 11-7

Women's Team Championship

Indian women created history after winning their first Asian team championship title beating defending champion Hong Kong in the final ... Dipika scored straight games victory over WR #7 Annie Au ... After that Joshana started well winning first 2 games but WR #19 Joey Chan fought back winning next two ... Joshana kept her nerve to won decider to clinch title for Indian women.

Our top-seed men team lost to defending champion Pakistan in two tight matches and failed to win their first Asian team championship title ... Pakistan's Farhan Mehboob defeated Saurav from 1-2 down ... Farhan Zaman stopped Siddharth Suchde's fight back ... After losing first 2 games Siddharth needed to keep fighting to win third game in extra points ... After losing 3rd and 4th games this time Zaman kept his nerve on important points to won the fifth game to win title for Pakistan.

Men's Team Championship Final

Are the two Pakistanis young guys who are establishing themselves? Their ranks seem to be low but they turned up when it mattered.
