As expected very strong field for Women tournament ... As many top-10 players r participating including top 5 players like WR #1 Nicol David, #3 Jenny Duncalf and #4 Rachael Grinham.

Wild card given to India's #1 and local girl Joshna Chinappa, but she is having tough first round match against WR #10 Australian Kasey Brown.

In Men tournament, Saurav Ghosal is 5th seed and will face an qualifier in first round ... But surprisingly wild card given to very lowly ranked Ramit Tandon and he is facing 4th seed Egyptian Mohamed Ali Anwar Reda in first round.

At $53K Women Chennai Open, India

[R1] (WC) Joshna Chinappa (IND,34) vs (7) Kasey Brown (AUS,10)

At $25K Men Chennai Open, India

[R1] (5) Saurav Ghosal (IND,29) vs Qualifier

Other than expected Saurav win our other players lost their matches but all produced fighting performance against their higher ranked opponents ... 17 yrs old Ramit Tandon learned lot from his match against Reda ... After losing first 2 games Ritwik tried comeback against Clyne but he managed to won third game only ... But Siddharth Suchde had heart-breaking loss where he was in control in all games ... 2 games he lost on extra points and in 5th he was tired and while going for winner made few mistakes to lost this match ... But very good performance from him.
