Saurav have achieved his career best ranking of #14 in new ranking update with his consistent performances in last few months.

Squash has very strange ranking and seeding systems. At the world championship this year, Saurav (ranked 16 then) beat the world #10 (seeded 9) in the first round, but ran into the reigning champion (seeded 4th) in the round of 16. How could three of the world's top-16 be in the same section of the draw (i.e., drawn to play each other before the QF)?!

Such things happens when there are only 8 seeds. I recall Saina (as world no 9) playing world no 8 in R1 of a badminton tournament where a similar ranking was followed.

Saurav continues with his rich form and lifted another title last week after winning $35K Indian Open ... He defeated 2nd seed Müller in the thrilling match ... After 1-2 games down Saurav needed to dig deep to fightback ... He won the fourth game and then won nail-biting final game on extra points.
