Shikha is in Pattaya for the WTA tourney Qualifyers....GO SHIKHA!!!
She is the third seed

Thats is great. First match should be easy for her. How many qualifiers are allowed? This is the same tournament which hingis is taking part right. And more over is this the same tournament which sania would have gone if not for injury.

yeah...but it should be a relativley easy path for her into the main draw...perhaps shell draw Hingis in R1

Edit-I just checked and Hingis isn't playing a Q in R1 so thats not poissible...i wont post the possible r1 opponents because I don't want to jump the gun and jinx anything...but theyare all good players.

Good to see Shikha making it to the main draw.
I have a feeling, she will be the surprise player of the Hyderabad open.
With Sania nursing a bad ankle, Shikha would be the one to look for.

Well, Shikha still has to get one more win to make the main draw, but yes -- it is nice to her bouncing back from a disappointing Aussie Open with some good wins.

In the worst case, she will be the #2 lucky loser. Hopefully she wouldn't need any of that. Poutchek is not easy at all, though. Shikha has not had too many easy eins lately in the top-300 though she has been getting the good wins. Hope she blows Poutchek away this time!

Wow superb come back .. And really very good match for Shikha against Conchita Martinez ... Agree Conchita Martinez is shadow of her old glory days ... But still playing against her give Shikha very valuable experiance ... Interesting to see how Shikha play against her.

I didn't get my wish for a straight blow-out from Shikha, but I am glad she basically blasted Potcheck after the first set..

Conchita may be washed out by her standards, but that doesn't mean she is easy..
