Might Pranjala's pro ranking get her into the AO junior main draw? She is 662 which I think is good enough to get in, although I'm not quite sure how the system works.

Re: Junior Circuits Abroad for Indian Kids...
No, top 400 WTA ranking is required to make it to the main draw ( top 750 in ATP). Anyway, Pranjala is only 5 out from main draw based on her junior ranking. So, with more than 2 weeks to go she might make it in.
If that happens, there will be 4 Indian girls in the main draw which may be higesht ever at slam juniors.

Adil has not withdrawn. Both Parikshit and Nitin made the qualifying draw, but will be unable to take part because of visa issues!

He hasn't withdrawn from the Australian Open. He has withdrawn from the Traralgon Juniors. Maybe you are checking the wrong entry list!

Oh yeah he has withdrawn. It hadn't been updated on their desktop when I sent out my earlier message. My bad, Abish!

Re: Junior Circuits Abroad for Indian Kids...
Well there is some confusion here. I still see both Adil and Pranjala in the entry lists out here -
Australian open juniors acceptance lists
Is this not updated ?
There are a couple of futures at Rafa Nadal academy where Adil trains. Adil posted on his FB page that he is starting the season on mens tour. So, I am expecting him to play these futures in which case he will miss AO juniors.

Re: Junior Circuits Abroad for Indian Kids...
Yes, it is updated now and both Adil and Pranjala are out. Adil for the reason I mentioned in the post above, I think. The Spanish guys will not allow him to play too much in juniors.
Not sure what is wrong with Pranjala. She did not play the womens tournaments in India too in December. Looks like she is injured.

Nitin's visa has been arranged at the last moment and he's going to play the qualifying event!vatsal323 wrote:Adil has not withdrawn. Both Parikshit and Nitin made the qualifying draw, but will be unable to take part because of visa issues!

Re: Junior Circuits Abroad for Indian Kids...
Unfortunately, in the AO qualies, Nitin lost in first round of qualifying to 279th ranked Japanese 62 16 36. So, it is 1 match and out for him after the long travel.vatsal323 wrote: Nitin's visa has been arranged at the last moment and he's going to play the qualifying event!
