He's at a career high 11 th in doubles this week.
A career high 56th in singles, 11th in doubles and an Olympics medal in the kitty... not bad for someone who quintessentially been a "home"-grown talent, dispels the prevailing notion that one needs to relocate to the academies of Florida / Southern California or Europe to have a decent career in tennis.

Even if he's an NRI, he's afflicted with the common trend of Indians - "good tennis doubles player".

Rajeev Ram is partnering Feliciano Lopez at the Qatar Open this week. If this is a long-term partnership, I can see this pair winning a Slam, perhaps as early as the AO this year. Rajeev of course has now retired from singles, so he is getting serious about winning the big doubles titles presumably.

This would be a great partnership if Ram clicks. Ram needs to seize on this great opportunity and push hard to get a slam title out of it.

Instead, he is partnering Divij Sharan at the AO this year, so we have an all-Indian partnership (albeit not an all-India partnership).

Partnering Ivan Dodig, Rajeev beat the top seeded Kubot/Melo to make the SF in Rotterdam.
