Siddharth Rawat thread
Congratulations to 26 year old Siddharth Rawat for winning his first ITF title when he won $25K in Nothanburi,Thailand this week.
These are his results this week.
At $25K ITF futures, Nothanburi,Thailand
[R1] (3) Sidharth RAWAT (IND,510) d. Jirat NAVASIRISOMBOON (THA,ITF-869) 62 75
[R2] (3) Sidharth RAWAT (IND,510) d. Kasidit SAMREJ (THA,NR) 46 61 63
[QF] (3) Sidharth RAWAT (IND,510) d. Rishab AGARWAL (IND,ITF-1778) 57 62 64
[SF] (3) Sidharth RAWAT (IND,510) d. (8) Yu Hsiou HSU (TPE,625,ITF-189) 64 62
[F] (3) Sidharth RAWAT (IND,510) d. Rio NOGUCHI (JPN,566) 75 60
After close fights in the second round and the quarter final, Sid dominated the semi final and final.
Good reward for him after years of hard work and travelling all over the world in search of points.
3 ATP points and 150 ITF points for Sid for this title. He will move up to somewhere around 480 in the ATP ranking and around 230 in the ITF rankings.
I think after the revised points system gets into effect, he will also get more ATP points for this title and his ATP ranking should go up much higher and then this will benefit him more.

Sid seems to be playing at a top 400 level rather consistently now. Nice to see!

Re: Siddharth Rawat thread
That was a very good win over the 2015 Wimbledon junior doubles champion (who partnered Sumit, to beat Reilly Opelka and Akira Santillan in that final). Sid Rawat should soon be ranked in the top-400, as will Nam.

Siddharth Rawat has qualified into the main draw of the Nonthaburi Futures in Thailand this week, after a couple of tough matches that went to the STB. He plays Vaclav Safranek (CZE, 333) in R1.

Re: Siddharth Rawat thread
He did not have to play qualies this week and directly made it into the main draw. Last week he had to go thru qualies but lost in first qualifying round.
Comes up with a nice upset win to start with.
