Arjun lost in 3 close sets.

At $54K+H Shymkent Challenger 2019, Kazakhstan

[R1] Arjun Kadhe (IND,391) l. Sanjar Fayziev (UZB,ITF-10) 75 57 46

Arjun served for the match at 5-3 in the second set and had a matchpoint on Fayziev serve at 5-4, 40-30 but messed that up. Indian players missing winning opportunities is becoming common in last few weeks.

I had just the same feeling. A few too many in recent times. We have always had our share of choking instants, but recently we have taken it up a further notch it seems!

Based on Arjun’s Instagram story, it looks like he is heading to the States, which means he might be expecting to play the Little Rock Challenger (if not for any coaching appointments).

Very strange decision. He should be heading to the UK to play on grass, potentially his best surface.

As I said earlier, the grass challengers are having a high cut off. So,with his current ranking he cannot make it either to the main draw or the qualifying draw which is mere 4 player draw now. So, no option for him than to go for challengers where he can at least make the qualies draw.
