Natahsa tried to be ambitious this year and travel abroad only for challenger level events where she had to go thru qualies. She was only partly successful in that and as a result, her ranking has fallen from close to 500 to outside 600. Not having too many tournaments in India this year did not help.
But, there are 5 tournaments this year in India now . So, if she has the quality in her game, she can bring her ranking back to close or inside top 500.
Are there 5? She told me she has 4 tournaments left for this year. Don't know.
About quality, it's definitely there. Yeah I forgot to add, we played in the blistering Goa afternoon heat, at around 3 PM. She managed to keep up the same level for the entire two hour session. INSANE!

Yes, there are 5. All in Maharashtra- 3 in Pune - 2 25K's and 1 10K , 1 in Solapur- 10K and 1 in Navi Mumbai - 25K. I will open a thread soon for all those tournaments together.
Indian Tennis Daily(the page that I run on FB along with Jaydeep, Vishnu and Sayan(not a member of this group)) had a chance to interview Natasha. Here's the link -
