Bolt wins the second set 7-5.

At $75K Traralgon Challenger, Australia

[R1] Sasi Kumar Mukund (IND,422) vs Alex Bolt (AUS,279) 75 57

Bolt seems to have raised his level of play in second set. Sasi is playing pretty well but needs to be at his best in the third set to counter Bolt.

Bolt won the third set with 1 break of serve.

At $75K Traralgon Challenger, Australia

[R1] Sasi Kumar Mukund (IND,422) l. Alex Bolt (AUS,279) 75 57 46

Bolt had a bigger serve and slightly better groundstrokes in the end. Still, a pretty good match played by Sasi against a top 300 player.

Sasi certainly has the game (good service, good ground strokes on both flanks). I don't why he cannot dominate the futures level and play more regularly at challenger level with this game.

I don't think it will help much. While Sasi is good he is still too raw to trouble someone like Millman. Unfortunate draw for him.

It's worth getting scouting reports though to perform your best. Even if you are bound to lose, the other guy may have a bad day and you could pull it through.

Benjamin Mitchell is a former top-250 player, that took more than an year of break from Tennis for the birth of his daughter Zara. Obviously, He is much better a player than his current rankings(defeated Omar Jasika in his second week of return earlier last month). Not surprised at Sasi’s loss.

He should have won this. Big opportunity missed by Sasi.

Looks like his results are actually getting worse as he is getting older. Not sure why this is the case....

Sasi is playing in Portugal in next couple of weeks and started with a very good upset win.

At $ 15K Portugal F4 futures,Quinta Do Lago

[R1] Sasi Kumar Mukund (IND,449) d. (2) Christian Lindell (SWE,324) 61 63

Next,

[R2] Sasi Kumar Mukund (IND,449) vs. Gianni Mina (FRA,523)

Mina is a former world junior # ranked player who could never fulfll his promise so far. Still, he has a career high ranking is 219 and qualified for 2 Aussie challengers last month. So, another tough one for Sasi.
