Re: Mukund Sasikumar thread
He should come back to India and play the Futures in India to regain form. Or at best, play one more week in Egypt, but make sure he is playing the last two India Futures.

Re: Mukund Sasikumar thread
Well he is continuing to string together some wins in Egypt.
At Sharm El Sheikh M15, Egypt
[QF] S. K. Mukund (IND, 314) v. P. Chrysochos (CYP, 407)
I believe Chrysochos was a top collegiate player a few years back.
[R2] (2) Sasi Kumar Mukund (IND,314) d. M. Pervolarakis (GRE, 469) 6-3, 7-6 (0)
[R1] (2) Sasi Kumar Mukund (IND, 314) d. T. Niki (JPN, 612) 6-1, 6-7(4), 7-6(4)

Re: Mukund Sasikumar thread
Good to see him regaining some form this week. Pervolarakis played for Greece in the ATP Cup. He was a reasonably good college player, but the ATP Cup experience would have boosted his confidence. That Mukund beat him quite comprehensively is good news. But I still think it would have made more sense for Mukund to have played the India Futures, since they are at the same level, and actually provide a similar level of competition.

Re: Mukund Sasikumar thread
Hey, being sassy is good. Sassy people are high energy, take risks, etc. I would want a tennis player to be high energy and bold in their play. Anyway, I suppose skill matters too.

Re: Mukund Sasikumar thread
Another disappointing loss for Mukund in Egypt.
At Sharm El Sheikh M15, Egypt
[R1] (2) Sasi Kumar Mukund (IND,315) l. Aldin Sectic (BIH,503), 26 26
Sectic has been ranked at a career high of 165 in 2017 but does not appear to be playing anywhere near that level now. So, no reason for Mukund to fold up against him like that.
That looks like the end of 4 week stint in Egypt which did not go well for Mukund.

Re: Mukund Sasikumar thread
Mukund once again has skipped the rest of the Indian tour and decided to play in Egypt ($15K). Seems like a last minute change of plan as he has accepted a wildcard to the qualifying draw in an attempt to grab a main draw slot. He has won the first round comfortably and has to win 2 more rounds, to do so!

Re: Mukund Sasikumar thread
Outside our Big Four (Sumit, Yuki, Prajnesh, Ramkumar), the Indian players seem to have really wasted the past year. Mukund and Sid Rawat seem to have been the worst-affected.

Re: Mukund Sasikumar thread
I seems like Mukund is totally rusty. He needs to get his moxie back soon. Hopefully not injured or anything.
