Next match is going to be much tougher.

[R2] Karman Kaur THANDI (IND,210) vs. (4) Martina TREVISAN (ITA,162)
I think Karman might surprise us :D

She indeed ... :D
A really good win for Karman against the top-175 ranked Italian, Martina Trevisan ... Though Trevisan retired in the third set when she was a break down ... Next, Karman is facing another top-175 player, Katie Swan.

At $25K+H ITF Women's Tournament 2019, Irapuato, Mexico

[R2] Karman Kaur Thandi (IND,210) bt (4) Martina Trevisan (ITA,162) 26 63 4-1 Retd

[QF] Karman Kaur Thandi (IND,210) vs (7) Katie Swan (GBR,177)

Nice win indeed. Karman has a 2-0 record against Swan with last win in October 2018. Hope she continues this domination of here.

Wow! Terrific win over the world #162 (who has a CH of 144). Makes it an even nicer day for Indian tennis!

Karman lost in the QF against a player whom she had beaten twice. :-(

At $25K+H ITF Women's Tournament 2019, Irapuato, Mexico

[QF] Karman Kaur Thandi (IND,210) l. (7) Katie Swan (GBR,177) 26 46

She could have got into Gadalajra WTA qualies but she is not in the qualifying draw. So, looks like her Mexico trip is over.

Don't know how it works, according to draw the last direct acceptance was Anna Dalinina ranked 370, still Karman dint make it.
I wonder if she even entered.

Big opportunity for Karman as she receives wild card for WTA Miami next week. Hope she makes most of it and wins at least 1 match there. Needs a decent draw.

Just to be clear, Karman's WC is to the qualies. The qualies WCs are also quite coveted with former top 10 player JW Tsonga also getting a qualies WC on the mens side.

Karman posted on her insta page that she has still not fully recovered from her shoulder injury and is therefore withdrawing from Wimbledon qualies. :-(

Sad to see how many of our players are currently having injury issues - Yuki, Karman, Prajala, Prajnesh. :-(

Anybody has any news on Karman's injury recovery? Did she actually have a shoulder surgery or something? It has been six months.... Badly missing her :(

Do not think she underwent surgery. Even if she was waiting for PR to kick in, that got over just this week. So, anxious to see if she is ready to return anytime soon. Pranjala has been out for close to 4 months too now. Just when our womens tennis was looking up these injuries occurred :-( .

That is weird, to lose 6 months if she didn't do surgery.

As per her interview in the IndianExpress, she is under rehab and will be fully fit in the month of October or November.
“I have not played a tournament since March. I had to retire in Miami due to a shoulder injury. The rehab is still in process and I should be completely fit by October-November.”
Pressure is a privilege, says recovering tennis star Karman Kaur Thandi
