Re: Karman Kaur Thandi
Yes, what a super week for Karman this out of blue. Also turning out be probably one of the best weeks for Indian tennis of this year if not the best.
Next,
[F] Karman Kaur Thandi (IND,520) vs. (5) Susan Bandecchi (ITA,195)

Marvellous week indeed for Indian tennis. Terrific run to the final of an ITF event in Europe by Karman!!

Go Karman. Is the classic Karmann Ghia back with the long stroke engine cranking out 65 hp power? I hope so!

Re: Karman Kaur Thandi
4-6 4-6 loss in the final but what a great week. KKT is well and trike back and I hope she receives the well deserving main draw WC for next week’s $25K event at Selva Gardena.

Good to see KKT get back to form! injuries have also derailed her career, so hopefully she will have a nice run from here on....

Re: Karman Kaur Thandi
Strangely, I don’t find KKT on the main draw at this week’s Selva Gardena event. She should have received a SE spot if she requested for it. Perhaps, she decided to recuperate after a long week and come back ready for the two $25K ITFs at home?

Re: Karman Kaur Thandi
I am not sure if Karman would have got the special exempt spot. Last week's final was on Saturday and qualies for this week started on Sunday. Usually, you get special exempt only when you are still playing main draw of previous week when qualies of next week started.
So, I guess she would have had to play qualies and she might have found it too taxing to do so after playing 5 matches last week.

Re: Karman Kaur Thandi
Karman starts her 2022 season next week with couple of 25K tournaments in Birmingham and Glasgow in Great BritIain. This is on indoor hard courts a surface where she had done so well in November. Lets hope we see such good results from Karman here.

And Karman starts with a nice comeback win after a slow start.

Re: Karman Kaur Thandi
Nice win over a higher-ranked player. However, Karman should really be ranked closer to the rank of her next opponent, so she should try and win the next round too.

Re: Karman Kaur Thandi
Looks like she fought well but fell short. Her first tournament after a couple of months break. So, might be a bit rusty. Hope next week she fares better.
